The state government of Odisha has launched the Workers Welfare Board scheme under the Department of Building and Other Construction for the sole mission of providing incentive benefits for Labours and Construction workers.

The building and other construction departments are according to the act of implementation of Building and other construction workers welfare act, 1996. This act enables regulation of the service conditions and safety of the buildings and the health of the labours.

The building and other construction workers act was established to provide all the Cess collection for the construction work and resources enacted for the benefits of the labour by the department of building and other construction workers by the Government of Odisha.
